Common questions
InSnap says it can’t capture my screen.
Open System Settings › Privacy & Security › Screen Recording, enable InSnap, then quit and reopen it. macOS requires a restart of the app after this permission is granted.
My hotkey doesn’t work or shows a conflict.
Another app is probably using the same combination. Open Settings › Hotkeys in InSnap and choose a different one. The defaults are ⌃⌥A (capture), ⌃⌥R (record), ⌃⌥L (scrolling capture), ⌃⌥P (pin clipboard), ⌃⌥H (history), ⌃⌥S (step recording) and ⌃⌥E (image editor).
The first time I open InSnap, macOS blocks it.
Control-click InSnap.app in Applications, choose Open, and confirm. You only need to do this once.
I bought Pro but features are still locked.
Open Settings › Account & License, paste the activation code from your purchase email and click Activate. If you see “device limit”, unlink an old device from the same page. Still stuck? Email support@insnap.app with your order number.
I lost my activation code.
Email support@insnap.app from the address you used to purchase and we’ll resend it.
How do I move Pro to a new Mac?
On the old Mac, open Settings › Account & License and remove the device (or remove it from the new Mac’s activation prompt). Then enter the same code on the new Mac. A license covers up to 3 devices.
How do I cancel InSnap Cloud?
Use the manage-subscription link in your receipt email, or from Settings › Account & License. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period. You can also email support@insnap.app.
How do I delete my account and data?
In Settings › Account & License choose Delete account. Your account, uploaded files and share links are removed. You can also email support@insnap.app. See the Privacy Policy.
How do I report abusive content on a share link?
Use the report link on the shared page, or email support@insnap.app with the link. We review reports and remove content that violates our Terms.
